簡介:

The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts,

或是稱呼為 Glastonbury Festival 　or 　Glasto

是目前世界上規模最大的戶外露天音樂表演(greenfield music)

以及表演藝術活動(performing arts)

活動的主要特色除了有當代音樂　

舞蹈　喜劇　戲劇　雜耍　歌舞劇及其他種類的表演藝術之外

我發現跟我們印象中不同的　是在於它的贊助廠商

Water Aid 是有關水資源保育的

Oxfam 是提倡志願工作者

GreenPeace 綠色和平

2005年　整個活動的面積達到　3.6平方公里

有超過 385個現場表演　以及150000人參加

今年的　Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts

預計會吸引超過　250000人前往

將於　22nd, 23rd and 24th June 2007 　舉行

Local Benefits
Since its inception, Glastonbury Festival has used local suppliers and service providers when ever possible. Glastonbury Festival 2005 Ltd spent over £5 million with local companies based within 25 miles of Worthy Farm.
Glastonbury Festival 2005 directly employed some 1100 people with a PAYE wage bill of around £750,000. 25% of that workforce came from the local area - earning over £400,000 - which 60% of the total monies spent on wages each year.
